Two fatalities in 24 hours on Route 3 and they still won't patrol Eccles. My youngest sons school bus was almost hit while picking him up and I called and guess what? No deputy showed up to patrol. Speed limit on Rte 3 is 40 mph and people drive well over that. Two deaths and they still won't do their job. I understand there are other crimes but one deputy can't be spared to run radar?? Pathetic. Raleigh County is a joke.
I needed help, they answered the call LT. McCray went far beyond, just helping. I wish to Thank this good Sheriff, for all his kindness, help. and recovering some of my stolen properity.

Found a stolen four wheeler and identified it and you let the thieves have it??? Are y'all all on drugs? I guess we'll see how state police handle it. It's not over.
This 1 star rating does not reflect them today. I do not know them now. 10 to 15 years ago some of the meanest people I've ever met worked there. These guys caused problems. They were bullies. I remembered the Raleigh Co Sherrifs after I gave my local police department a 5 star review (for actually knowing what real crime is).
BahHumbug!! Pitiful is all I can say. My home has been broken into twice and attempted breakins have occurred twice. We had vandals in front of the house shouting threats and waving weapons at us...we called for help and help arrived THREE hours later really? A soul could likely be dead in less time than that!! Law enforcement is non-existentent in this county as far as I am concerned. Would move if I could. In the future when I find myself in desperate need of help from the law I will call WV State Police and see if anything happens
