I had a great first visit w/ Dr. Patel & he was very friendly. The staff was very friendly. I am suffering from extreme neck/ back pain. My arms go numb and recently one day @ work, I could not take the pain any longer. I called Dr. Patel's office & the lady I spoke w/ said she was faxing my MRI order to RGH immediately & advising Dr. Patel of my pain. I called RGH the following day & there was not an MRI order for me on schedule. I called my Ins to see if there was a problem as RGH told me to do. The MRI was almost pd for in full, so there was no issue. I was so upset that I was lied to by the office employee, that in my pain & frustration I called Dr. Patel's to cancel my future appt & called my family Doctor to get in w/ a different doctor. Pain & numbness are nothing to play around with when it comes to one's neck & back. I felt my condition was of no concern to the lady that was handling my MRI order. I'm sure if she was at work in pain & crying, she'd want an MRI ASAP as well.
Dr. Patel is the best surgeon I have ever had.
